Midweek (weekend) Music XVII: Stand for Truth

Be on the alert, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong. 1 Cor 16:13

These past few weekends I’ve been at work all the time, even Sundays. Not that I wanted to, but because that is how the situation was. There was little time to spend on other things. So this Monday will serve as a Saturday by God’s grace, and tomorrow I look forward to Sunday at church! It has been a busy and blessed time. Also I have in plan a LOT of new things for this blog, and one of them is also transferring it to a new domain name that I have!

Until then, I’m catching up on Midweek Music series. I want to share one of my favorite songs from the Wissmann family. It calls all believers to “stand for truth” to stand for what is Biblical, correct and God-pleasing even though it is hard. And let me tell you- these days it can be hard! You will be ostracized, shunned, feel friendless and alone, but the reward will be great! And it is better to have enemies than not to be in line with God’s Word.

Here are thoughts related to standing for truth (Song is at the end!) :

  1. I love that quote about right being right, and wrong being wrong. It is one of my all time favourite quotes. I have to say it to myself sometimes when faced with certain situations and decisions.

    • Yes indeed! I have a whole collection of quotes that are so inspiring I pinned on pinterest. I especially love Spurgeon, he had such an eloquent way of describing the Christian walk!
